Early Edition 2 for iPad. Brilliant app.
There are swankier news aggregator apps out there (Flipboard, Editions, Zite etc.) but I like the high level of customisation twinned with the newspaper style of this one.
My control-freak nature doesn’t gel with “hey man, let us offer you a pretty mishmash of content you might like to dip into at your leisure like a pic&mix”. I need to be able to specify the content sources myself, including some weird RSS feeds that nobody else reads. Plus I want to create, name, and order my own sections. Honestly, who else in the universe wants knitting, F1, and gaming news in the same publication? No one else, that’s who.
Early Edition 2 lets me create a unique, personalised newspaper that no one else would want to read but is perfect for me.
